National Palace Museum of Korea: The Korean Empire

At the National Palace Museum of Korea, I had the opportunity to learn and reflect deeply on the Korean Empire. 🍁

The exhibition provided a well-organized overview of the historical context in which the Korean Empire was proclaimed, along with the various systems and cultural aspects established to elevate its status as an imperial nation. Particularly, the rituals at Hwangudan, which symbolized the emperor's authority, and the efforts to transition into a modern state were introduced in detail, enhancing my understanding. 🦋

Following the explanations, I realized once again that the Korean Empire was not merely an extension of a dynasty but a significant turning point toward a modern state system. It was a meaningful time to calmly reflect on its historical significance. 🔮
