Gyeongbokgung Palace

By Subway: Take Line 3 and get off at Gyeongbokgung Station, Exit 5 → It's just a short walk, about 2-3 minutes.

• If you're in the area and want to explore food, cafes, and old neighborhoods: After visiting the palace, it's recommended to walk to Insadong and Bukchon Hanok Village for a full cultural experience.

If you visit Seoul and skip Gyeongbokgung, it's truly a missed opportunity. Entering through Gwanghwamun, the golden gate, feels like being transported back into a historical movie. The atmosphere is both grand and enchanting.

I highly recommend wearing a hanbok for a day. Not only does it make for beautiful photos, but you also get free entry. The morning or evening light is perfect, as the shadows of the buildings, wooden roofs, and golden roofs interplay beautifully.

Allocate at least 2-3 hours to explore the large halls, waterside pavilions, ponds, and gardens. If you have extra time, head to Insadong afterward to change the vibe and enjoy some food and small souvenirs. It's a very relaxing stroll.
