Seoul and Kangding topped my winter trip list—and here’s why Seoul should be yours too! ❄️✨ Think cozy pop-up stores, picturesque temples in crisp air, and city views that seriously slap from the Namsan TV Tower. Plus, Korean food is on another level—if you haven’t tried bibimbap or the legendary corn dog, you’re missing out! Locals are super friendly and polite, which makes exploring even better.
Top Spots to Visit in Seoul:
1. N Seoul Tower (105 Namsangongwon-gil, Yongsan): Open daily, catch the sunset for jaw-dropping cityscapes. Bundle up—it gets breezy up there!
2. Starfield Library (Yeongdong-daero 513, COEX Mall B1): This modern indoor cultural wonder is open 10:30–22:00. Snap Insta-worthy pics under those soaring book walls!
3. Gyeongbokgung Palace: Perfect spot for iconic photos with the Blue House and mountain backdrop.
4. Hongdae Street (347-20 Seogyo-dong): Open all day, this is nighttime paradise. Dive into traditional bars, wild clubs, and live street performances!
5. Myeongdong Underground Shopping Center (124 Toegye-ro): Food + fashion heaven, but prepare for real crowds. Go early to beat the rush!
6. Myeongdong Merlin Hotel (245 Toegye-ro): Great location and roomy lofts, but it’s hit or miss—some rooms are clean and bright, others have dated facilities. There’s a handy pantry and convenience store, but heads up for minor maintenance quirks.
Travel tips: Use Seoul’s subway system—it’s super easy, fast, and English-friendly! For food, don’t skip street stalls in Myeongdong (try tteokbokki and hotteok). Always carry a T-money card for seamless metro/bus rides. Seoul’s winter is dry and cold, so layer up and pack hand warmers. Both card and cash work everywhere.
