✨ Useful Tips!
1. Don't Miss the Changing of the Royal Guard Ceremony!
• This is a symbolic event of Deoksugung Palace. Be sure to witness the magnificent ceremony held in front of Daehanmun Gate. • Time: Three times daily (11:00 AM, 2:00 PM, 3:30 PM)
• Events may be canceled on Mondays and on rainy or snowy days.
2. Reservations are required to view the interior of Seokjojeon Hall!
• Seokjojeon Hall, offering a glimpse into the lives of the Korean Empire's imperial family, is only accessible through guided tours. Tours fill up quickly due to its popularity, so if you're planning a visit, be sure to make a reservation in advance on the Deoksugung Palace website!
3. Enjoy the Nighttime Viewing
• Deoksugung Palace is the only one of Seoul's five grand palaces that is permanently open at night. The illuminated palace offers a completely different charm than the daytime, so we recommend visiting at sunset to enjoy both.
4. Finish with a Stroll along Deoksugung Stone Wall Path
• After touring Deoksugung Palace, take a leisurely stroll along Deoksugung Stone Wall Path, also known as "Jeongdong-gil." Nearby are charming cafes, restaurants, and the Seoul Museum of Art, making it a great place to visit. 5. Utilize the Integrated Palace Ticket
• If you plan to visit not only Deoksugung Palace but also Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace, Changgyeonggung Palace, and Jongmyo Shrine, purchasing the "Palace Integrated Ticket" (10,000 won, valid for 3 months) is a much more economical option.
