[Seoul] There's an observation deck in this place! [Cecil Theater Rooftop Observatory]

Located north of Deoksugung Palace, the National Jeongdong Theater Cecil has a rooftop garden that is open to non-theater visitors (free admission).

You can see Seoul City Hall and the Anglican Cathedral, and you can even bring your own food from the cathedral's cafe.

The surrounding area is an office building, so when I visited, the space was completely booked.

I had a relaxing time.

The photo was taken in early October, so it was still too early for the autumn leaves at Deoksugung Palace, but I'm sure you'll be able to enjoy them from the rooftop garden in November.

It's a quiet and lovely spot in the city center.

It's not well known, so it's a great place to take a short break.

There's an elevator to the rooftop next to the theater.

This building, combining Romanesque style with Korean tile roofs, is a designated tangible cultural property of Seoul.
