Western Sichuan | Seda, I love this Donggar Temple more than the Buddhist College

When you go to Seda, don’t just go to the Buddhist College which is limited to one hour. Donggar Monastery is also recommended.
Seda Donggar Monastery is a Tibetan Buddhist temple with a long history and one of the three major monasteries in Seda. It is located on a sacred mountain shaped like a white conch. The temple was founded by the first Donggar Living Buddha, Master Sangsang Ugyen, in 1686 AD and has a history of more than 300 years.
At Donggar Monastery, you can admire a complex of buildings with a strong Tibetan Buddhist art style, including the world's largest Medicine Buddha Pagoda and other large-scale buildings. There is a seated statue of Sakyamuni in the main hall, with religious murals painted on three sides. The red pillars are carved with dragons and flowers, with bright colors and a solemn atmosphere.

📍Detailed address: Dongga Temple (you can drive directly to the temple gate)

📝Note tips: Keep quiet during the visit, and remember to take off your hat, sunglasses, and shoes when entering the temple;

🏨Hotel environment: Majiami Chenxi B&B in Seda County, with an average price of 500+/night, and a relatively large discount for offline bookings; the breakfast is very rich and delivered to the room in person, but the delivery time of 8 o'clock is a bit too early for contemporary young people, and the other accommodation environment is very satisfactory;
