Students will be thrilled to stay at this hotel when visiting Shanghai

[Hotel Experience Vol. 29] Renaissance Shanghai Pudong Hotel|||Renaissance Shanghai Pudong Hotel (Pudong New Area, Shanghai)
Room type: Deluxe King Room, upgraded to Single Bed Suite, comfortable and affordable!

🏨Overview
I stayed at the Renaissance Shanghai Pudong Hotel on the last day of the Q1 event, and I think it deserves to be called one of the "Three Old Hotels of the Century" along with the Hongta Hotel and the Grand Mercure Qingdao. This hotel is closer to Century Park, only 500 meters from the subway station, and close to shopping malls such as DINGXIANG International, making it convenient to find food nearby. The hotel is also located in a financial district, and I remembered that I had attended a forum here after checking in.

🛏️Room
When I checked in, I was asked if I needed a toothbrush or razor, as these are not provided in the room and need to be collected at the front desk. I was also given a small bag of welcome fruit, but when I got to the room, I found that there was already a portion in the room. The elevator and room door both require a card to access. I was upgraded to a Single Bed Suite in advance, but the room is only 42 square meters. The room is decorated with warm wallpaper and carpet with dark furniture, and the age of the hotel is obvious, with signs of wear and tear and a slight smell. Although the two bathrooms are equipped with many mirrors, which look nice, there is a lot of rust, which is so obvious that I initially thought it was a special design. The furniture is actually quite nice, with leather cushions on the sofa, but it is not very comfortable to sit on. The bathroom feels cramped, the bathtub is small, and the shower head has a weak water flow.

🍱Dining
The hotel breakfast is quite rich, with two sizes of wontons and tofu pudding with toppings. There is also an Indian food area and Eggs Benedict, which are both popular with guests, and I tried them and they tasted good. The Happy Hour menu in the lounge is relatively rich, but the taste is average, just enough to fill you up. The char siu pastry is good, but it is replaced with something else after one round.

💪Fitness
The pool environment is nice, but it also has a sense of age. The changing room has a sauna and a Finnish bath, which is rare nowadays. The gym has a wide variety of equipment, but they are also a bit old.

😏Summary
There are still quite a few foreigners staying at this hotel, probably because there are fewer business travelers as the holidays approach. Although the location and surrounding facilities are okay, it is not as lively and convenient as Century Avenue. In addition, the hotel exudes an old-fashioned atmosphere from the inside out, the maintenance is average, the staff attitude is average, and the experience is average.
