Stroll along Zhouqiao Old Street, where every brick and tile exudes the charm of time

Zhouqiao Old Street is located in Jiading District, Shanghai. It is a tourist destination with rich historical culture and unique Jiangnan water town style. The scenery here is beautiful, the crowds are small, and the New Year atmosphere is strong. This year, I will celebrate the New Year here🧨.

The Zhouqiao Old Street area has been inhabited since the pre-Qin period, and settlements had formed by the Tianjian period of the Southern Liang Dynasty. Jiading was named after the Lianqi River during the Tang Dynasty and was called Lianqi City. In the tenth year of the Jiading period of the Southern Song Dynasty (1218), a county was established and named "Jiading" after the reign title, which has been used to this day.
