Exploring Fengjing Ancient Town

A while ago, I visited Fengjing Ancient Town, straddling the Wu and Yue regions, renowned as a famous town of Jiangnan. The town features winding rivers, ancient stone bridges, and picturesque old buildings.

Walking through Shipi Lane, lined with blue brick and black tile buildings, felt like stepping back in time. The various ancient bridges, including Qingfeng, Mingyue, Taiping, and Cuiguang Bridges, each had their own unique stories. Savoring traditional Jiangnan snacks like large rice dumplings and Haitang cakes was a delightful experience.

The free entry made it easy to explore, although some sites, such as the People's Commune and celebrity residences, may have admission fees. Entering through the main street with the "Fengjing" sign provided easy access to the scenic area. Planning the visit early was helpful, as some shops closed around sunset.

Fengjing Ancient Town's charm and beauty left a lasting impression, making it a highly recommended destination.
