Fengjing Ancient Town - An Underrated Gem

Influenced by its unique location ("One town across two provinces") and the regional culture of Wu and Yue, Fengjing Ancient Town showcases the traditional architectural styles of both regions along its riverbanks. The southern part of the town features Yue-style lotus leaf walls, while the northern part displays Wu-style horsehead walls. Fengjing Ancient Town not only boasts architectural complexes from the late Ming, mid-Qing, and late Qing to Republican periods, but also houses red tourism sites such as the former site of Fengwei People's Commune and the wall bearing bullet marks from the Japanese invasion of China.
