👍🏻Recommended reasons: Everyone, Shanghai Lavender Park is really worth a visit!😍 This is the largest lavender garden in Shanghai. Every year during the peak bloom period in May and June, over 200,000 lavender plants bloom together, creating vast fields of romantic purple flowers that instantly make you feel like you've been transported to Provence, France.🌷 And the fun in the park isn’t just the lavender—there are also colorful flower fields, a rose garden, and a crabapple flower corridor, all stunning sights. Whether you're on a romantic date💕, taking the kids for a family outing, or hanging out with friends, it’s perfect for all. The park also has a kids’ play area where children can have a blast, and the camping base has a great atmosphere, letting you fully enjoy a relaxing outdoor time.🎈
🗺Attraction introduction:
The park is divided into the South Garden and the North Garden. The South Garden covers about 300,000 square meters and mainly features breathtaking lavender fields, a romantic rose garden🌹, a spacious lawn, and an herb science education garden where you can learn a lot about herbs. The North Garden is even larger, covering 700,000 square meters, mainly an eco-tourism facility area. The camping base is here, and lying in a tent at night watching the stars is just amazing! A new 30,000-square-meter non-powered interactive kids’ play area has also been added, where children can enjoy castles and slides to their heart’s content!🛝
🚗Transportation to the attraction:
• Subway🚇: Take Line 11 to Disney Station, exit from Exit 3 or 4, then walk about 500 meters forward to reach the park. There are signs all along the way, so no worries about getting lost.
• Bus🚌: Take International Tourism Resort Line 1 and get off at the Ecological Park Road stop, then walk about 300 meters to the park entrance. Very convenient.
• Driving🚗: If you drive yourself, there are two routes to choose from. Route A: Take the S20 Outer Ring Expressway, then transfer to the S1 Yingbin Expressway, exit at Tanghuang Road, turn right onto Sunshine Avenue, and you’ll find the dedicated parking lots (Shanghai Lavender Park Parking Lot, Shanghai International Tourism Resort P4 Parking Lot). Route B: From Zhonghuan Road, transfer to the Resort Elevated Road, enter Shanghai International Tourism Resort from the Disney Arrival Exit, turn right and follow Shendi West Road to the intersection of Shendi East Road and Sunshine Avenue, then continue along Shendi East Road to the parking lot.
🗺Suggested itinerary:
Upon entering the main gate, first check out the beautiful vervain field at the entrance, with purple flowers swaying in the wind, very atmospheric. Then walk along the wisteria-covered corridor to see the vast lavender fields—perfect for taking photos with a high chance of great shots!📸 Next, visit the rose garden to enjoy the fragrance of roses, then admire the colorful flower fields. There’s also a patterned horticulture area with uniquely shaped plants that catch the eye. If you brought kids, be sure to visit the kids’ play area for them to have fun. If you have enough time, you can also set up a tent at the camping base and enjoy a leisurely afternoon.⛺
🍱Food recommendations:
There are many snack stalls and restaurants in the park. When you get tired from walking, try some local Shanghai specialties like pan-fried buns and small wontons, bursting with juicy flavor—super satisfying!🥟 If you visit during the Lavender Festival, there’s a popular food market on the lawn offering fusion dishes of East and West, as well as various lavender specialty drinks that are uniquely flavored and delicious—definitely worth trying!🧃
💰Cost information:
The regular adult ticket price is about 59 RMB, with a special price around 49 RMB. Tickets for specific dates are a bit more expensive, about 68 RMB. However, children under 1 meter tall and seniors aged 70 and above can enter for free with a Mainland China ID card or senior citizen card, which is very considerate. Parking also has benefits—just show your ticket to park for free for 5 hours in the P4 parking lot (remember to get a parking voucher at the entrance ticket check), isn’t that great!💸
📌Other tips:
• To see the most beautiful lavender sea, visit during the peak bloom from mid-May to early June. That’s when the lavender blooms most brilliantly and photos look amazing.🌸
• It’s best to make a reservation in advance on the “Shanghai Lavender Park” official WeChat account. Bring your Mainland China ID, health code, and reservation code for a smoother entry.📱
• When taking photos, bring props like a straw hat, balloons, or a bubble machine to instantly boost the atmosphere. Wearing a white dress for photos is absolutely stunning and guarantees great shots.👗
• There are stones and pits in the flower fields, so for safer walking and more fun, it’s recommended to wear flat shoes or sneakers.👟
• While enjoying the park, be sure to follow the park rules and never trample the flowers and plants. Let’s all protect this beautiful environment so the scenery stays wonderful.🌳
