On a perfect sunny weekend, I drove with my family from the busy downtown Shanghai straight to the Jinmao Hyatt Hotel on Chongming Island. Along the way, the city's hustle and bustle gradually faded away, replaced by lush green scenery, lifting our spirits. Upon arrival, the unique modern Chinese architecture greeted us, as if we had stepped into a tranquil Jiangnan water town.
