Zhujiajiao is not just an ordinary water town! During the Ming and Qing dynasties, it was known as the "clothing capital of the world," with a booming textile industry. The streets were filled with fabric shops and rice stores, full of lively local atmosphere~ The ancients even said, "The three Jing (Zhujing, Fengjing, Sijing) are not as good as one Jiao (Zhujiajiao)," definitely the top spot in Jiangnan!

🚣 Must-check-in “Shanghai’s Number One Bridge”
Fangsheng Bridge is a must-visit! It’s the largest five-arch stone bridge in Shanghai, built by a Ming dynasty monk who spent 15 years fundraising!
Under the bridge was once a release pond for animals; watching the sunrise from the bridge is stunning 🌅~

🏮 The lively atmosphere of Beidajie street makes foodies drool!
“The long street of three miles, with thousands of shops” refers to here! Both sides of the bluestone road are lined with century-old shops:
✅ Grandma’s Zongzi: fatty and lean braised pork wrapped in bamboo leaves and stewed until tender, one bite is heavenly~
✅ Jiangnan’s No.1 Teahouse: opens at 3:30 AM for early tea! Elderly locals bring their own tea leaves to chat, hiding the truest ancient town life in the lively atmosphere

🌸 Stunning Republic of China style garden
Ke Zhi Garden is a must-visit! This private garden blending Chinese and Western styles houses an embroidery tower, a library, and even a mini version of Yuyuan Garden’s Nine-turn Bridge~ Rockeries, flowing water, pavilions, and terraces create a picturesque scene at every step. In spring, wisteria flowers hang from the eaves, making every photo look like a classical ancient Jiangnan scene, as if traveling back to the Ming and Qing dynasties~
