Zhujiajiao Ancient Town・A Long-lost Dream of Jiangnan Water Town

#chinatravel
🚣 Time in the Water Town Cut by Oars It's a few minutes' walk from Zhujiajiao Ancient Town Parking Lot to the scenic spot entrance. Walking along North Street, with bluestone slabs under your feet and overhanging eaves and bucket arches above your head, the shops on the street sell special snacks such as tied meat and smoked. When you reach Fangsheng Bridge, this five-hole stone arch bridge spans the Caogang River. Standing on the bridge, you can see the passing gondolas, and the boat ladies humming soft Wu dialect. The white walls and black tiles of the houses on both sides of the river are reflected in the water, like an ink painting.

🎨 Literary Experience: Visit the site of the Great Qing Post Office and send a postcard with the ancient town postmark; in "Kezhi Garden", admire the exquisite layout of the Jiangnan garden, where rockeries, ponds, pavilions and towers complement each other. In autumn, the osmanthus in the garden blooms, filling the air with fragrance.

🌃 The Tenderness of Night: The ancient town is less noisy at night, with lights flickering on the water. Find a teahouse by the river, order a pot of Biluochun, listen to the sound of water, and feel the tranquility and tenderness of the ancient town at night.

✨ Tips: The ancient town is free to enter, and some attractions require separate tickets (such as Kezhi Garden for 20 yuan). It is recommended to spend 2-3 hours visiting. You can park in the ancient town parking lot by car (10 yuan/day), and take the Huzhu Line bus to Zhujiajiao Bus Station.
