Pudong Mandarin Oriental Hotel - Nautical Adventure Themed Family Room Room-Tour
There are three types of nautical-themed rooms, and this article introduces the Mandarin Oriental River View Family Room, with an average price of around 4k.
The location of Pudong MO has always been criticized, mainly because you can only get there by taxi or car, and public transportation is inconvenient. But I actually think that being next to the yacht club, its location in Lujiazui is a perfect example of "peace amidst the hustle and bustle." Basically, apart from hotel guests, no one else passes by.
Back to the room, the view is of the Oriental Pearl Tower cityscape plus the Huangpu River view. It’s not top-tier, but the family-friendly setup in Lujiazui can be considered unique. The nautical adventure theme reminds me of the beginning of SpongeBob, and it blends very well with the surrounding environment—the yacht marina and the Huangpu River.
From the ceiling to the carpet underfoot, from the graffiti on the glass window on the left to the minibar on the right, everything is designed with the theme. The room has a bunk bed specially for children, child-friendly toiletries on the washbasin, children’s size monkey bathrobes in the wardrobe, and a complimentary puzzle on the table. When checking out, children also receive a special little gift.
I believe this is a thoughtfully designed family room, fundamentally different from those "family rooms" that just change the color of the bedding and put it up for sale...
