This time, I stayed at the 5-star Mandarin Oriental in Pudong, Shanghai.

The nearest station, Pudong South Road, is less than a 10-minute walk away. Taxi fares are much cheaper than in Japan (about one-third), so I recommend using DiDi to book a ride!

I booked a river view twin bedroom. Although it was last minute, the price was about 40,000 yen per night for two people, including breakfast. Considering the prices of Mandarin Oriental hotels in Japan and other countries, this is an incredible deal!!

The hospitality of the hotel staff was impressive, truly befitting the Mandarin Oriental brand.
The room’s interior has a natural and modern feel.
The river view offers an incredibly beautiful nightscape, with the sparkling buildings reflecting on the river!

The bathroom has two sinks, so you can use them simultaneously without worry. The shower room has a chair, allowing you to sit and relax while showering.

The bathtub is equipped with a TV, so you can enjoy a leisurely bath time.

By the way, I chose a plan with breakfast included, but if you are a Mandarin Oriental member, breakfast is served free of charge. Late check-out and other services also seem to be available, so if you are a member, you can enjoy a room-only plan at a great value✨
