Skip the Bund crowds — cruise into the skyline instead 🌇➡️🌃”

📍 Evening Huangpu River Cruise

The Bund gets crowded. Like, really crowded.
But I found a better way to enjoy all those views — and even more.

I booked a Huangpu River evening cruise, and honestly?
It turned out to be one of the most magical things I did in Shanghai.

🌆 One Ride, Two Cities

I boarded just before sunset. At first, the river was calm, the Bund looked golden, and the towers across the water mirrored the sky. It was peaceful — not packed with people jostling for a spot at the railing like on the promenade.

Then slowly, the skyline began to glow.
At exactly 7 PM, it was like someone flipped a switch:
Buildings lit up one by one, animated patterns danced across skyscrapers, and the entire city turned into a floating light show.

💡 Why it's a win
✅ You get sunset and night views in one trip
✅ You skip the crowds on the Bund
✅ You see both sides of the river from the best angle — on the water
✅ It’s surprisingly affordable (¥60–120 RMB or ~$10–20 CAD)
✅ No need for an expensive tower ticket — this view is unbeatable

I loved standing at the open-air deck, wind in my hair, watching the skyline shimmer and change color. The Oriental Pearl Tower glowed purple, Shanghai Tower lit up in patterns, and the whole thing felt like a scene out of a futuristic dream.

If you’re visiting Shanghai — skip the Bund crowd.
This cruise is calm, beautiful, and gives you the best seat in the house for the city’s night performance.
