Our family of six—four adults and two children—embarked on a one-day trip to Shanghai LEGO Land. Although we only stayed for one night, the day was packed with exciting experiences, surprises, and laughter from morning till evening.
Arrival at the Park: A Morning Full of Anticipation
We arrived at LEGO Land early in the morning, greeted by a massive LEGO brick archway that immediately lit up the kids' eyes. The park's architecture and decorations were infused with LEGO elements everywhere—streetlights, signposts, even trash cans had a playful LEGO design. For the kids, it was like stepping into a dream city, and for the adults, it was a nostalgic journey back to childhood.
Thrilling Rides: Conquering All the Roller Coasters
We started our adventure with the park's signature attractions—the various roller coasters. The park is well-zoned, offering rides suitable for different age groups:
• LEGO Adventure Roller Coaster: A beginner-friendly ride with moderate speed, perfect for kids to enjoy their first "little adventure" amidst screams and laughter.
• Ninja Adventure Roller Coaster: Featuring spins and dives combined with light effects, it felt like stepping into a ninja animation scene. The kids loved it, while the adults found it dizzying.
• Speedy Dragon Roller Coaster: One of the park's most thrilling rides, with rapid drops and flips that got our hearts racing. Although the kids barely met the height requirement, they bravely gave it a try and kept shouting "One more time!" afterward.
• LEGO Town Mini Roller Coaster: A family-friendly ride with a cute design, allowing all six of us to enjoy it together, creating a warm and memorable experience.
By the end of the day, we had tried almost all the roller coasters in the park, satisfying the adults' craving for thrills while giving the kids a sense of achievement and joy.
Lunch: Surprises at the LEGO Restaurant
By noon, we headed to the LEGO Restaurant for lunch. The food here was not only delicious but also creatively presented:
• LEGO Burgers: The buns were shaped like LEGO bricks, vibrant in color, making the kids exclaim, "Can we really eat this?" The juicy burger patty paired with fresh salad was a hit.
• Crispy Fried Pork: Golden and crunchy on the outside, tender and flavorful inside—a favorite among the adults.
• Ice Cream: Decorated with LEGO brick designs, the high visual appeal made the kids reluctant to take a bite as they played with their dessert.
Dining at the LEGO Restaurant was more than just a meal; it was a feast for both the eyes and the taste buds.
Afternoon Adventures: Fun for the Whole Family
After lunch and a short rest, we continued exploring other areas of the park. The kids particularly enjoyed:
• LEGO City Fire Brigade: A hands-on activity where kids operated water guns to extinguish fires, combining fun with interactive learning.
• LEGO Brick Workshop: A creative space where they could build their own models and take home a small souvenir.
The adults, on the other hand, cherished the moments of walking around the park with the kids, taking photos and creating lasting memories. The park staff were also very friendly, often offering to take group photos for us.
Dinner: Beef Hot Pot at LEGO Town
As evening approached, we headed to LEGO Town for dinner at Zuo Ting You Yuan Beef Hot Pot. The beef slices were fresh and tender, paired with flavorful soup bases and a variety of side dishes, making for a satisfying and heartwarming meal. The kids especially loved the meatballs and corn, enjoying their food while playing, creating a lively atmosphere.
This hot pot dinner was the perfect conclusion to our adventurous day. The adults reminisced about the day's thrilling experiences, while the kids debated which roller coaster was the best.
Overnight Stay at Sheraton: A Comfortable Night
After dinner, we checked into the nearby Sheraton Hotel. The spacious and clean rooms, along with soft beds, provided the perfect setting for us to recharge after a day of fun. The kids fell asleep almost instantly, while the adults relaxed in the living room, sharing stories about the day's highlights.
Summary
Our one-day trip to Shanghai LEGO Land was short but incredibly fulfilling:
• Challenging various roller coasters and enjoying family-friendly attractions during the day.
• Savoring creative dishes at the LEGO Restaurant for lunch.
• Relishing a delicious beef hot pot dinner at LEGO Town.
• Ending the day with a comfortable stay at Sheraton.
For the kids, it was an unforgettable adventure; for the adults, it was a day filled with pure joy and nostalgia. If given the chance, we would definitely visit again, perhaps staying longer next time to fully immerse ourselves in this imaginative and laughter-filled wonderland.
