A Culinary Tour of China in One Shanghai Restaurant! 🍃

Heard about a new immersive restaurant in Shanghai where you can taste the entire map of China? My girls and I went this weekend—and wow! The food isn’t just delicious; it’s gorgeous. Even better? Each course is served as part of an unfolding story, with holographic table projections and live performances. A feast for your eyes, ears, and taste buds!

🌸 Traditional Costume Experience
We booked the Hanfu styling package and arrived 1.5 hours early. The shop offers hundreds of regionally inspired outfits, hairpieces, and accessories. Once we were glammed up, we took tons of photos. Wearing Hanfu throughout the meal made the experience even more immersive!

The restaurant is wrapped in floor-to-ceiling screens with cinema-level sound. The story follows Panda Chef Cheng Baobao’s culinary adventure. The interactive table projections change with each dish—think dreamy landscapes, calligraphy games, and even virtual fishing! Never a dull moment.

🍽 Appetizer Platter
East: Red date & yam cake → soft and subtle
West: Spicy crystal jelly noodles → bold and tingly
South: Lychee shrimp balls → crispy outside, tender inside
North: Almond crisps → fragrant and crunchy
- Chilled tomato jasmine consommé to awaken your palate!
▪ Peking Duck 🦆
Pancakes + duck + hawthorn + cucumber = perfect balance. Jasmine tea cuts the richness.
▪ Mapo Tofu 🦞
Showstopper! Classic Sichuan dish upgraded with lobster and tofu-skin rice. So good we licked the bowl!
▪Hongkong Dim Sum 🥠
Bouncy shrimp dumplings, lava custard buns (including a cute panda version 🐼)—almost too pretty to eat!

✨ Two hours flew by! Each dish came with a story and live acts (water sleeve dance, face-changing, Kung Fu). Ritualistic, delicious, and visually stunning.
