Shanghai: A 3-Day, 2-Night Journey Through History and Modernity

On the first day, the journey began with the breathtaking night view of the Bund along the Huangpu River. The European-style buildings lining the river and the towering skyscrapers of Pudong on the opposite side created a truly spectacular scene. As the evening glow faded and the neon lights turned on, moments to pause and capture photos naturally followed. Strolling along Nanjing East Road, enjoying street food and shopping, heightened the excitement of the trip.

The second day was spent exploring Yuyuan Garden and the traditional streets of Shanghai. The serene beauty of the Ming Dynasty garden exuded a refined charm. Leisurely browsing tea, snacks, and souvenirs in the surrounding shops brought a sense of relaxation, making me realize the true essence of a healing trip. In the afternoon, I moved to Pudong to admire the cityscape from the Oriental Pearl Tower and the Shanghai Tower Sky Deck. The day concluded with a Huangpu River cruise, enjoying the night view.

On the final day, I started with a morning round of golf at Tianma Golf Club, followed by a luxurious staycation at the Aman Hotel. Sipping tea by the pool, overlooking a harmonious blend of city and nature, was a serene experience. I also indulged in local delicacies like hot pot, beef noodles, and pigeon dishes at a renowned restaurant. The seamless transition from the leisurely daytime to the vibrant nighttime allowed me to fully appreciate Shanghai's diverse charm.

Though short, the trip was unforgettable, encompassing Shanghai's history, culture, modernity, gastronomy, and luxury. Every moment of walking, eating, and observing in this sensory-rich city remains a cherished memory.
