1. Lei Lei Xiao Long Bao·Wu Ai
Address: No. 506 Tianjin Road, Huangpu District
Key Points: Hairy crab xiao long bao, chu pai (Chinese pork cutlet), and xie fen cai pao fan (crab and vegetable soup) are delicious!
You have to try them 😋
Rating: 4.7/5 (You might have to wait in line during lunchtime?)
2. Nanjing East Road
Address: Huangpu District-Nanjing East Road
Key Points: A street with great shopping and neon signs.
Although evening is the main attraction, the daytime also has its own charm. These days, there's a lot of construction going on here and there, so the evening neon view isn't as spectacular as it used to be.
Rating: 4/5
3. The Swatch Art Peace Hotel
Address: No. 23 Nanjing East Road, Huangpu District
(Enter from No. 1 Nanjing East Road)
Key Point: Free exhibition admission is available if you reserve in advance through the WeChat mini-program
(Reservations can be made through The Sundial Daily News)
Exhibitions aren't always on, so check before you go.
Rating: 4.5/5 (Reservations can be a hassle for beginners)
4. The Upper Room
Address: No. 190 Beijing East Road, 7th Floor, Huangpu District (Located in the Z Hotel building)
Key Point: Oriental Pearl Tower This rooftop cafe and bar overlooks the Bund. It can be difficult to get a table for dinner, so I recommend coming for lunch.
Rating: 4.7/5 (Everything was great except for the price)
5. Suzhou River
Address: No. 326 Beisuzhou Road, Hongkou District, Shanghai
Key Points: A great place for a quiet stroll while admiring the beautiful buildings and scenery. Great for taking the perfect photo.
Rating: 5/5
5. 汭REi·FLOWER COFFEE BAR
Address: No. 234 Beisuzhou Road, Hongkou District
Key Point: A cafe with a river view.
Great for a quick break.
Rating: 3.7/5 (Stylish, but not so-so.)
6. Shanghai Postal Museum
Address: No. 395 Tiantan Road, Hongkou District, 2nd Floor (near Sichuan North Road)
Key Point: A postal museum worth visiting.
Some areas are only open on weekends, so I recommend visiting on a weekend.
While the exhibits aren't extensive, the building itself is fun to explore.
It's a popular photo spot. Admission is free.
Rating: 3.7/5
7. Luneurs (Outer Wanyuan Branch)
Address: No. 115, Yuanmingyuan Road, Huangpu District
Key Point: Gelato and brunch spot
Refresh your tired body with delicious ice cream and bread
ㅎ
Personally, I recommend the chicken croissant and salted caramel ice cream
Highly recommended❤️
Rating: 4.7/5 (maybe a little pricey?)
8. Evening stroll along the Huangpu River in Pudong
Address: No. 988, Puming Road, Pudong New District, Shanghai
Key Point: From the north gate of the Shanghai Lu Neng JW Wan Hou Hou Hotel
Follow the East Bank Greenway (bike path) in the opposite direction of the hotel.
As you climb, you'll find a path that leads to a riverside promenade.
Take it and stroll along the river.
(Following along, you'll enjoy the Bund's night view.
There are plenty of restaurants offering dinner options. Examples include Fowler's and Chili's.)
Rating: 5/5
