Make the most of a single day in Shanghai with a mix of history, culture, and modern energy:
Morning: Start at People’s Square and Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street for shopping, street scenes, and historic buildings. Don’t miss the Shanghai Museum for a quick dive into art and history.
Afternoon: Walk toward The Bund, taking in colonial-era architecture and snapping photos of the Huangpu River. Cross over to Lujiazui for futuristic skyscrapers like the Shanghai Tower and Oriental Pearl TV Tower.
Evening: Return to The Bund promenade for sunset views and night lights. Finish with dinner at Xintiandi or Tianzifang, where modern dining meets traditional alleyways.
📍 Where: People’s Square → Nanjing Road → The Bund → Lujiazui → Xintiandi/Tianzifang
🕘 Timing: Start around 9:00 am, finish by 9:00 pm
💡 Tip: Wear comfortable shoes — Shanghai’s highlights are best explored on foot, and pack a camera for skyline and street photography.
