The Ritz Carlton Pudong - Staycation

To staycation or not to staycation. Definitely stay!

The Ritz has has a reputation for being a very pricey luxury hotel, and for some of us this might be a put off. But after booking a 3 year anniversary staycation with my partner I’ve come to the conclusion that you get what you pay for and more.

🏙 The View - I don’t believe there is a place in Shanghai with a better hotel view. From the hotel room, the gym, the swimming pool and even the SAUNA, one is greeted with a breathtaking view of the “Pearl tower + Friends”, the Bund city scape, or BOTH.

🤵🏻‍♀️The Staff - The service is amazing. From the beginning of our hotel stay all the staff greeted us by our names and went out of their way to help us with directions or promote the facilities. Shout out to Victoria for helping us out.

🏊‍♂️Amenities - Everyone in the hotel can use the gym, swimming pool, and sauna free of charge.
ProTip: don’t forget to book the hotel bar on the 58th floor after dinner.

🛏 The Room - One of the best parts of the hotel was the room! with a walk-in closet, bathtub and shower. each room comes with an great view and excellent eye for detail. we were pleasantly surprised that the rooms were impeccably clean and tidy.

⭐️ Special services - Although the hotel was a tad on the pricey side. a one night stay between two people for a special occasion is definitely worth it. The hotel was informed that we were celebrating and gave us flowers, complementary cake, and Champaign. Friends celebrated birthdays and got the same treatment.

🌱 Eco Friendly - The hotel won’t give out any toiletries expect for soap, shower gel, and shampoo to cut down on waste. Only if one specifically asks for a tooth brush or shaving kit will you get it brought up. Complementary of course. We really liked the initiative.🙂
