What started as a casual scroll through someone else's photos turned into an unforgettable experience. I joined a one-day hiking tour with a "since I'm here" mindset, but I ended up completely blown away 😭

Location: Tiger Leaping Gorge Town, Shangri-La City, Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan

🚗 Transportation: You can depart from Dali, Lijiang, or Shangri-La. Options include carpooling or hiring a private car, with a travel time of about 2-3 hours.

⏰ Hiking Duration: The entire hike takes approximately 6-8 hours. Plan your time based on your physical condition and pace.

💪 Difficulty Level: Overall, it's moderately challenging. Some sections are steep and require a certain level of physical strength and endurance, but it's beginner-friendly.

One-Day Routes:
- Easy Route: Halfway Guesthouse - Longdong Waterfall - Zhang's Guesthouse
- Beginner Route: Tea Horse Guesthouse - Halfway Guesthouse - Longdong Waterfall - Zhang's Guesthouse

Two-Day Routes for Advanced Hikers:
Day 1: Naxi Yage - 28 Bends - Tea Horse Guesthouse - Midway Guesthouse (Overnight)
Day 2: Midway Guesthouse - Longdong Waterfall - Tea Horse Guesthouse

👟 Recommended Gear:
1. Comfortable hiking or trekking shoes with good grip—anti-slip is crucial!
2. Sun protection: sunscreen, hat, sunglasses (UV rays in the gorge are strong).
3. Backpack: For carrying essentials like water, snacks, and a power bank.
4. Adequate food and water: While there are supply points along the way, it's best to bring some for energy replenishment.
5. Trekking poles: They help reduce strain on your knees, especially during descents.
