Ganden Sumtseling Monastery’s Golden Glow

Visiting Ganden Sumtseling Monastery in Shangri-La was a spiritually humbling experience. Nestled in the mountains, the monastery shimmered with a golden hue under the afternoon sun. Tibetan prayer flags danced in the breeze, while monks greeted visitors with serene smiles. A young monk shared snippets of the monastery’s history with me, using broken Mandarin and expressive gestures. The resonating chants within the halls sent shivers down my spine.
