Perched on a hillside near Shangri-La, Songzanlin Monastery(松赞林寺) is the largest Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Yunnan. With its golden roofs, whitewashed walls, and prayer flags fluttering in the wind, it resembles Lhasa’s Potala Palace in miniature.

⏰ Best Time: Morning(fewer crowds, better light) or during Losar (Tibetan New Year) for festivities.
👗 Dress Code: Cover shoulders/knees; walk clockwise around sacred sites.
⚠️ Altitude Note: At 3,300m, move slowly to avoid altitude sickness.
