Exploring Songtsam Green Valley Shangri-La's First Tibetan-Style Hotel

Along the way, I checked into 4 Songtsam hotels~ Yesterday I shared about Songtsam Linka, and today I’ll take you to see its sister hotel in the same city 👉 Songtsam Green Valley 👈 The two are only 6 kilometers apart in a straight line, one on the mountainside and the other at the foot of the mountain. It’s so lucky to experience the "Twin Pearls of One City" on the first visit! 😍

🌟 Green Valley Highlights at a Glance:
- Location: Kena Village, Jiantang Town, Shangri-La City, Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province (🚶5-minute walk to Songtsam Linka Monastery)
- Feature: The "ancestor" of Songtsam hotels, the first Tibetan-style hotel to open
- View: Facing Lamuyangcuo Lake, stunning scenery right outside the window 🖼️

Compared to Songtsam Linka, Green Valley is much more compact in scale but boasts an excellent location! Adjacent to Songtsam Linka Monastery, stepping outside puts you right in a 5A scenic area. You can truly say you’re "living inside the scenery" 🌄

There’s no trendy Arc'teryx gear or Arabica coffee here, but there is a very storied 👉 Tunika Coffee & Sweet Tea Shop 👈 Sitting by the window soaking up the sun while sipping sweet tea and listening to the housekeeper tell the origin story of Songtsam—that’s the real Tibetan slow life! 📖

💡 Tips:
You can stay at both hotels—ride horses and shoot arrows at Linka during the day, then return to Green Valley to enjoy the peaceful night. Perfect!
