Kabushima Shrine enshrines Benzaiten and has long been worshipped by local people as the guardian deity of prosperous business and safe fishing. The "Kabuagari Hyotan Omamori" charm is popular because the "Kabu" in Kabushima and the "Kabu" in Kabushima are pronounced the same. It is also a breeding ground for black-tailed gulls and has been designated a national natural monument. 🕊
