Stayed at this hotel in Shantou with my kid and experienced intangible cultural heritage

I decided to go to Shantou for the weekend and was looking for a hotel near the station. I unexpectedly found a gem.
The decor is amazing, with bamboo as the core element. From the tea set and furniture to the stairwell, bamboo is everywhere. The hotel is full of Chinese aesthetic details. After checking in, I couldn't help but take pictures for two hours.
Even more surprising were the various experiences offered. The room had the special Phoenix Dancong tea from Chaoshan, which tasted amazing. In the evening, I tried making Hong Tao Kui by hand, and the hotel steamed them and delivered them to my room. Because I checked in on Saturday, I was lucky enough to enjoy a Chaozhou opera performance. It was a great experience.
Breakfast also featured local Chaoshan specialties. The kway teow soup made fresh by the chef was delicious, and there was a wide variety of snacks. It was like having Longyan Road Food Street right there in the hotel.
April is such a comfortable month, with great weather and good prices, avoiding the Easter and May Day crowds. My two-day trip to Shantou was worth it for the hotel alone.
