As described in "Mountain Residence Ode": Luo once placed a cliff at the door and arranged mirrors by the window. This lake view room is named "Jinglan" after the mirrors and waves. From the terrace, you can see the entire 600-acre private Dongshan Lake. In times of great calamity, the lake surface looks like a smooth old jade, with layered mountains wrapped in mist, indistinct. It’s a shade of blue only Monet could paint.

The bed is already made for the night. On the folded corner of the quilt lies a silk eye mask, cool to the touch, with the character "Guan" embroidered on the edge, the thread slightly raised, clearly taken from the "Preface to the Orchid Pavilion." Bathrobe, cotton slippers, storage box, bath salt pouch... the character "Guan" appears repeatedly, permeating every detail. "Looking up to observe the vast universe, looking down to examine the abundance of species," this is reflected in reality.

The used bathroom emits a warm, sweet fragrance. Amber, vanilla, sandalwood—these are the signature scents of the late Karl Lagerfeld, last smelled at the Karl Lagerfeld hotel in Macau personally designed by him. This choice of amenities is quite niche; I later asked and found out it was the hotel owner’s preference. The brand’s packaging uses ocean-recycled plastic, which has positive environmental value.

The Chinese breakfast set I booked upon check-in yesterday was delivered to the room, with extra orders of omelet and cucumber juice. I brewed tea using the kettle provided in the room; the mini bar’s tea bags are not the usual TWG but Cuiming, unique to Shangyu. It tastes slightly stronger than Longjing, with an oily, fresh, and sweet aftertaste.
