In 48 hours, you can completely immerse yourself in the refined Jiangnan culture… really loved it! This place has a profound cultural heritage and I enjoy the ancient town streets with small bridges and flowing water.

🚅 Transportation: Take the high-speed train from Ningbo to Shaoxing, it only takes about 40 minutes. Shaoxing has a metro system, making it very convenient to get around.

🏡 Accommodation: Choose a place near Lu Xun’s hometown; it’s just a few minutes’ walk from the metro exit.

Lu Xun’s Hometown:
Visited Lu Xun’s hometown, toured the Sanwei Study and Baicao Garden scenic spots. You need to book in advance to visit Lu Xun’s hometown. Reading his works and seeing his hometown made me fall in love with Shaoxing as depicted by the author once again. From Lu Xun’s hometown, I walked to Cangqiao Straight Street, where there are many small shops—you can sit down for tea and relax.

• High-speed train: Get off at Shaoxing North Station, then transfer to a bus. This is an economical and affordable option.

If you just watch the scenery without taking photos, the experience is even better.
For great shots, there are two routes, A and B, with the same scenery. I recommend Route B: first climb around Men Mountain, then take the boat out. This way, you can both overlook the beautiful East Lake and enjoy a leisurely time on the water.
