The Shiretoko Five Lakes is one of the Eight Scenic Spots of Shiretoko and is a World Natural Heritage Site. It is the general name for the five large lakes located in the Iwaobetsu Daichi Forest.
Surrounded by native forests, you can observe the Shiretoko Mountains, flora, fauna, and birds.
There are two main tour routes.
▶️One is 800 meters on an elevated wooden path

▶️The other route is through the Shiretoko primeval forest where you can see many wild animals and plants.
