A Trip to Shenyang with My Husband: Warmth at Haoze and the Night Charm of the Expo Garden

Finally, my husband had a day off, and we took advantage of this leisure time to embark on a short trip to Shenyang together. Upon arriving in the city, we headed straight to the Haoze Hotel Shenyang, which we had booked in advance, eager to drop off our luggage and give our bodies and minds a comfortable rest.

Opening the hotel door, a warm atmosphere greeted us. The front desk staff wore friendly smiles and proactively asked about our needs. During check-in, they patiently and thoroughly explained the hotel’s facilities and nearby attractions with a gentle and enthusiastic tone, instantly making us feel at home. When we received the room key and entered the room, we were pleasantly surprised—the space was spacious and bright, sunlight streaming through the floor-to-ceiling windows onto the soft carpet, making the entire room feel especially cozy; the neatly made bed was covered with soft, high-quality bedding, and the sofa by the window was perfectly placed, inviting us to pick up a book and enjoy a moment of tranquility. My husband smiled and said, “This room is really nice, even more comfortable than I imagined.” After a quick unpack, we lay on the sofa chatting for a while, the fatigue from the journey gradually fading away, our hearts full of anticipation for the upcoming itinerary.

After a short rest, as dusk fell, we set off for the Shenyang Expo Garden night event. As soon as we stepped into the night area, we were amazed by the scene before us—countless lights intertwined, decorating the familiar scenery in an extraordinarily dreamy way. Trees lining the paths were wrapped in colorful lights, and as the lights changed, the leaves seemed magical, sometimes showing a deep blue, sometimes turning a romantic pink, and occasionally switching to a vibrant orange. The colors flowed through the night like a moving painting of light and shadow. A gentle breeze stirred the leaves, causing the lights to flicker and creating a hazy yet romantic atmosphere that made us slow our pace and quietly appreciate this unique nighttime beauty.

We strolled along the lighted paths, each scenic spot offering a different surprise. The flowers, usually bright and vivid, took on a mysterious aura under the lights; iconic buildings were outlined with contour lights, standing out strikingly against the night; even the lakeside railings were decorated with string lights, resembling a scene from a fairy tale. My husband held the camera, stopping occasionally to take photos of me. The scenery under the lights was especially photogenic, and every photo captured our smiles and the beautiful view before us. We walked and talked, sometimes pointing to a particular sight to share our feelings. The gentle evening breeze brushed our faces, and the air was filled with comfort and happiness, as if the whole world had shrunk to just us and this beautiful night.

This trip to Shenyang with my husband, though simple, was exceptionally fulfilling. The comfort and warmth of Haoze Hotel dispelled the travel fatigue; the light show at the Expo Garden brought both visual and spiritual delight. Every moment was filled with warmth and happiness, becoming a precious memory for us, leaving our hearts full of satisfaction and joy.
