Shenzhen Dapeng Bay Dongshan Temple was first built during the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty, more than 600 years ago. It was destroyed, but was rebuilt and reopened in 2012. The architecture of the temple is rich in Lingnan style, with yellow glazed tile eaves and colorful beams and columns, and it also retains the solemnity of a century-old temple. The temple is open to the public free of charge. Visitors can enter through the south gate to see the majestic statues of the Four Kings, and then follow the indicated route to visit, pass the Heavenly King Hall and then go to the Great Hall to worship Buddha 🙏🏻, feel the tranquility and Zen of Buddhism in the temple, and go to the small shop in the temple to buy Zen-style souvenirs before leaving. Not far from Dongshan Temple is Dapeng Fortress, which also has a history of 600 years and is worth a visit.
