In the heart of Shenzhen, there's a convenient and scenic spot for relaxation - Lianhua Mountain Park. It has even been listed in the 'National Red Tourism Scenic Spots Directory'! Covering an area of 194 hectares, Lianhua Mountain Park is a 'large oasis' in the city. Let's explore this popular weekend getaway for Shenzhen residents!

From Exit F1, walk straight and you'll see a staircase. Opposite this spot is the Shenzhen Book City. Climb up and you'll reach the Citizen Center entrance of Lianhua Mountain Park. The park is vast, with different scenic areas and many paths. So, be sure to check the map before heading to any scenic spots.

⭐️ Kite Plaza

Entering from the Citizen Center entrance, you'll find Kite Plaza. The plaza on the left leads to the mountain. On the expansive lawn of Lianhua Mountain Park, many families fly kites and enjoy family time. If you didn't bring a kite/toy, you can buy one on the spot.

Next to Kite Plaza, there's a group of red lantern trees. Many people like to sit in the shade and enjoy the uncle's singing time. Besides the red lantern trees, there are also many large trees with exposed roots, making it a great spot for photography.

⭐️ Lianhua Lake

Walk along Blue Jacaranda Road, and you'll see Lianhua Lake. The lake is filled with people riding pedal boats.

⭐️ Summit Plaza

Summit Plaza is the highest outdoor plaza in Shenzhen, offering a panoramic view of the city. The night view is even more spectacular.

⭐️ Rainforest Valley

Rainforest Valley is planted with many vine and aerial root plants, creating a tropical rainforest landscape with intertwined vines. You'll see various small streams and mini rainforests as you walk.

⭐️ Xiaofeng Yangri

The highlight of this scenic area is 'Yangri Lake,' covering about 15,000 square meters. It's not very large but a great place to rest and take photos. It's very relaxing to have a long chat with friends here in the afternoon. The small paths near Yangri Lake are also great for photography.

⭐️ Shenzhen Special Economic Zone 30th Anniversary Memorial Garden

This area is similar to Kite Plaza but smaller and has more murals to admire. At the entrance, there's a 'Hu Jintao Hand-Planted Tree.' Many people also take photos with this tree.

📍 Shenzhen Lianhua Mountain Park

Lianhua Mountain Park is large, with entrances in the east, south, west, and north, making it very accessible. You can reach it from the Shenzhen Metro Youth Palace Station and Lianhua North Station. I chose to start from Youth Palace Station Exit F1.
