Experience Another World in Shenzhen, China 🇨🇳 🌵 👽

Having lived in Shenzhen for almost five years now I can’t believe it’s taken me so long to come to the fairy lake park. It’s a stunning place a few metro stops away from downtown, and it has so many different areas you’ll forget you’re in a China and possibly even forget you’re on Earth.

There are various trails and gardens based around the big fairy lake, which itself has various rivers and water features.

There’s a huge temple and pagoda along with a museum and gift shop, the temple is active and was very full when we went so remember to be respectful and keep the noise level down. They allow you to take gifts and tributes but be aware of all the incense burning as it can be overwhelming.

The highlight for me was the cactus gardens and African plants area, I spent ages taking it all in and looking at all the different cacti.

If you want to check it out get the metro to Xianhu road station and follow the signs. When you get inside the park there is a bus system operating to the top or you can walk and explore yourself
