Dameisha Art Village: Encore Visit to the Tibetan Tea House on Day Two!

During my private visit to Dameisha, I stumbled upon a Tibetan tea house. Intrigued, I stepped inside to take photos and videos. However, since I was already there, I thought I should try their drinks. So, I returned the next day to experience the tea house firsthand.

The tea house's menu features fewer than 10 beverages and two snacks. Among the drinks, the Eight Treasures Tea is the most renowned. Although its price of 118 RMB is quite astonishing, the tea comes in an 800ml pot and is brewed with eight different Tibetan ingredients combined with local tea leaves. It's perfect for sharing among two to four people.

I ordered the "Butter American," which combines Tibetan butter with black coffee. The strong buttery flavor pairs surprisingly well with the coffee. When the coffee is served, they even light a stick of incense, creating a relaxing atmosphere 😌.

The tea house offers various seating areas where guests can sit freely. I chose to sit cross-legged in a corner of the library, though there were quite a few mosquitoes 😨.

Besides tea tasting, the tea house also hosts unique activities. Next time, I plan to join the Tibetan printmaking workshop, which costs 168 RMB including materials. These rare and distinctive activities are definitely worth trying.

💰 Average spending: 58 RMB (Butter American)
🕰️ Business hours: 10:00 AM
