Shenzhen | Michelin 3-Star Chaozhou Cuisine

Today, we’re introducing a restaurant with quite the reputation. Their flagship location at Beijing’s Zhengda Center has been awarded the prestigious Michelin 3-star rating. Upon learning that they’ve opened their first branch in Shenzhen, we decided to give it a try 😊. The restaurant, "Chao Shang Chao," is located in Luohu’s MixC.

The restaurant’s decor is quite tasteful, with soft lighting that creates a comfortable and sophisticated dining atmosphere. It’s perfect for both family gatherings and business dinners.

The dishes were full of delightful surprises. The shrimp dumplings were translucent, with plump and tender shrimp inside. Each bite released a burst of fresh flavor. The BBQ pork rice rolls had thin, smooth wrappers and were generously filled, offering a satisfying texture. The dried scallop and shrimp congee was also outstanding, with a creamy and delicate base infused with the fresh taste of shrimp. Paired with crispy crackers, it had a wonderful layered texture. The crispy BBQ pork buns were another highlight, with a flaky crust and sweet, flavorful filling that wasn’t overly rich—absolutely delicious.

The service was also excellent. From the moment we entered until the end of our meal, the staff were polite and attentive, promptly refilling water, replacing plates, and thoughtfully introducing the dishes, making us feel very well cared for.

Overall, "Chao Shang Chao" excels in ambiance, cuisine, and service, reaching a very high standard. Highly recommended for anyone looking to try it out.
