Arrived at the coastline recommended by National Geographic 🏝️
Look at Shenzhen’s sea, the blue sky, and the crystal-clear water
📍Location: Shenzhen Astronomical Observatory
🧭Navigation: Xichong Tourist Resort
🚗Self-driving: Navigate to Astronomical Observatory/Xichong Tourist Resort P7 Parking Lot (reserve the observatory for free parking)
🚌Bus: Take M232 to Hesou Village Station
🎫Tickets: Free
📝Tips
1️⃣ Remember to reserve the observatory every Monday
The boardwalk is divided into reserved and non-reserved sections. The reserved observatory has beautiful scenery and fewer people, while the non-reserved boardwalk is crowded. Reservations open every Monday at 10:00 AM for that week’s slots. Reserving the observatory waives the parking fee.
2️⃣ Lazy route suggestion
Departure: Take the shuttle bus or hike up
🚌 I chose the bus, 10 RMB/person
🚶 Hiking is all stairs
Return: Take the speedboat/or return the same way/cross the coastline
🚤 I chose the speedboat, 50 RMB/person
🚶 10-minute walk to the parking lot
3️⃣ Be sure to apply sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen
Important enough to say three times. There is no shade on the boardwalk, and it’s very sunny on clear days. Remember to bring a sun umbrella and apply sunscreen well.
If you’re lazy like me, you can also wear a hat and a windbreaker.
4️⃣ Be sure to set out early
The observatory opens at 9 AM, but the non-reserved boardwalk is always open. For those who like photography, you can hike up early to watch the sunrise and take photos with fewer people around, perfect for great shots!
