🏡 Nantou Old Town｜An old soul breathing between history and creativity

My first time visiting Nantou Old Town was truly a pleasant surprise.
I had expected a touristy cultural and creative district, but it felt more authentic and lived-in.

While few relics remain from the ancient town's thousand-year-old history, the restored city walls and alleyways retain a rich sense of history.

Most uniquely, the cultural and creative shops here aren't the cookie-cutter equivalents of typical shopping malls.

Some brands even have their own studios behind the shops, where handmade products, dyeing, and sewing are all done on-site.

The atmosphere of "creation in life" makes you slow down your pace.

As I walked, I'd stumble across photos of smiling locals hanging on street corners.

At that moment, I suddenly realized—the soul of the old town has never left.
