As a member of Shenzhen's 996 workforce, I discovered that the city's free attractions are the real treasures! Today, I’m sharing my zero-cost check-in route that you can easily get on weekends✅
🏯 Must-visit for Chinese architecture lovers:
📍Dafen Oil Painting Village (Buji Subdistrict, Longgang District)
I didn’t expect Shenzhen to hide such a charming place! Walls full of graffiti and oil painting studios are super photogenic. I recommend going around 4-5 PM when the light is softest.
🌃 Modern urban nightscape:
📍OCT Loft Creative Culture Park (Nanshan District)
There’s a market every Friday to Sunday evening. The industrial-style buildings combined with lighting create an amazing vibe. Don’t forget to bring your bestie for some Instagram-worthy shots.
🌸 Secret flower viewing spot:
📍Central Park (Futian District)
There are different flower seas all year round! Right now, it’s sunflower peak season. Best to visit before 9 AM or after 4 PM for photos.
🌉 Stunning lakeside sunset:
📍Talent Park (Houhai Area, Nanshan District)
The sunset around 6 PM with the "Spring Bamboo Shoot" building is the most Shenzhen-like scenery I’ve ever seen! The lakeside running track is also perfect for night runs.
📌 Practical tips:
1. Most attractions are accessible by subway; it’s recommended to use Shenzhen Tong for scanning and riding.
2. Remember to bring mosquito repellent for parks in the city center!
3. For weekends, try to avoid peak hours; it’s much less crowded after 3 PM.
4. Power bank is a must! You won’t want to stop taking photos at these spots.
Who says Shenzhen is only about skyscrapers? These free attractions are the soul of the city~ Let’s plan for the weekend!
