Qianhai Stone Park in Shenzhen is a landmark of the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone, combining natural ecology, urban scenery, and cultural memorials. It is perfect for walking, photography, and sea viewing, especially for checking in at the "Qianhai Stone" landmark.
🌟 Highlights:
If you have kids, don’t miss the beach sandpit here [Love], it’s super large, so you can dig in the sand by the sea without going to Dameisha or Xiaomeisha.
Here is a practical travel guide:
1. Basic Information
- Address: Intersection of Qianhai Avenue and Qianwan 1st Road, Nanshan District, Shenzhen (near Qianhai Kerry Center / Qianhai International Conference Center).
- Transportation:
- Metro: Line 5, Qianhaiwan Station, Exit C, about a 10-minute walk; or Line 11, Qianhaiwan Station, Exit D, about a 15-minute walk.
- Bus: Take M418 to "Qianhai Stone Park Station."
- Driving: Navigate to "Qianhai Stone Park Parking Lot" (limited parking spaces, early arrival or public transport recommended).
- Opening Hours: Open all day, free admission.
2. Core Highlights
1. Qianhai Stone Landmark
The park’s core is a yellow wax stone (weighing about 60 tons) engraved with the characters "Qianhai Stone," symbolizing the development and opening of Qianhai. Many visitors take photos here with the backdrop of skyscrapers and the sea, especially atmospheric at dusk when the lights come on.
2. Seaside Scenery and Trail
You can stroll along the coastal trail to the sea. On one side is the modern city skyline (such as Excellence Qianhai No.1, China Resources Qianhai Tower), and on the other side is the Lingdingyang sea, offering a broad view. The trail is flat, suitable for cycling or jogging. There are paid electric carts inside the park.
3. Surrounding Facilities
- Nearby are the Qianhai International Conference Center ("Bay Area Eye") and Qianhai Kerry Center (a commercial complex with dining options).
- The park has a few resting seats and sunshades, but facilities are simple, so it’s recommended to bring your own water and snacks. There are convenience carts selling water and some fast food inside the park.
🌟 A must-visit with kids:
The park has a huge sandpit and a beach where kids can play freely in the sand, with water nearby for rinsing!
3. Best Time to Visit
- Season: Suitable all year round, mild in winter (November to February), and in summer, take sun protection seriously (30°C+; early morning or evening visits recommended).
- Time of Day:
- Early morning (6:00-8:00): Quiet with fewer people, ideal for walking and watching the sunrise (weather permitting).
- Evening (17:00-19:00): Sunset glow reflects on the sea and skyscrapers, lights gradually turn on, perfect for photos.
- Weekends/Holidays: More visitors, early arrival recommended to avoid crowds.
📝 Tips:
1. Sun and heat protection: Shenzhen has strong sunlight; in summer, bring hats, sunglasses, sunscreen, and stay hydrated.
2. Safety: Be cautious of tides near the sea and do not climb over railings.
3. For kids digging in the sand, bring an extra set of clothes and sand tools.
4. Dining is not very convenient; you need to leave the park, which is quite far.
☀️ Food: There is a mall inside Qianhai Kerry Center or you can walk to Qianhai MixC. The park sells some food, or you can bring your own.
The scenery here rivals Sanya’s, it’s very beautiful and great for photo check-ins.
