Shiraishikawa Ichimoku Senbonzakura is a great place to enjoy cherry blossoms in the suburbs of Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture, and is selected as one of the top 100 cherry blossoms in Japan! 🎀 This is one of the must-see attractions I recommend when visiting Sendai! ✨Just like the name means, there are 1,000 cherry trees🌳

During the cherry blossom season from early to mid-April every year, more than 1,000 cherry trees are planted on both sides of the 8-kilometer-long Shiraishi River, forming a straight and spectacular cherry blossom tunnel, which is really amazing! Sendai has fewer people, and the atmosphere is peaceful. You won’t find it hard to take photos with so many people. 🎀 You can also take a boat ride or rent a bicycle to enjoy the riverside.🚲

🚊Take the JR Tohoku Main Line from Sendai Station to Ogawara Station or Funaoka Station and walk for 10-15 minutes
