Honetsukidori, a specialty of Takamatsu, is truly a life-changing dish in Japan... If you visit Takamatsu, you must try it!

Ikkaku is said to be the most famous Honetsukidori restaurant in Takamatsu, so the wait time was quite long. We arrived around 8 PM and were told there was a 1-hour wait. However, when we arrived 50 minutes early, there were plenty of seats available. It seems like arriving a bit earlier would have been better!

The young chicken is a safe choice for everyone. The old chicken is tougher and may not be to everyone's taste, especially for Koreans, but it was sold out when I visited. It seems that old chicken is more popular in Japan!

It's really salty! But since the Torimeshi is also salty, I recommend eating it with onigiri 😊 Beer is a must!! Unlimited cabbage refills are available.
