Tibet’s Spiritual Heart 扎什伦布寺 Shigatse

Tashilhunpo Monastery, located in Shigatse, Tibet, holds a special place in my heart from my journey through the Tibetan Plateau.🏯 It was founded in 1447 and has such a rich history. Walking through its peaceful courtyards, surrounded by monks chanting and the smell of incense, was so calming. The murals and statues inside are absolutely breathtaking, and it felt like stepping into another world. 🌸

Tashilhunpo is not just a historical site but a living hub of faith, where traditions have been carefully preserved over centuries. Visiting here wasn’t just a chance to explore; it was a humbling experience that deepened my understanding of Tibetan culture and the resilience of its people.
