UNESCO World Heritage Site [Shirakawa-go]
Shirakawa-go, where the Gassho-style villages are built close together in one of Japan's heaviest snowfall areas, is easily accessible and is a popular tourist destination visited by many foreign visitors. 💡
Shirakawa-go, covered in snow, is pure white wherever you look. ✨
At the Kanda House, you can go inside and see where they made ensho, and at the Shirakawa-go Tajima Family Silkworm Exhibition Hall, you can see how silkworms were mainly raised as a home industry in the attic of the Gassho-style house.
You can see that the Gassho-style house is being used for practical purposes by making use of the attic. ⭐️
We went to the observation deck, looked at souvenirs, and had a fulfilling time. ♪
It started to get quiet around 5pm and it suddenly felt lonely, so I recommend arriving early.
📍Location: Ogimachi, Shirakawa-mura, Ono-gun, Gifu Prefecture
