Japanese Ancient Architecture: Gassho Houses

P1-9 are the gassho-styled houses in Shirakawa-go (and Takayama Hida Village), which is one of the famous World Heritage sites; whereas P10-19 are some of the other traditional Japanese architecture in latter days.

Being one of the most developed nations, Japan is yet such a good keeper of its historical roots, keeping all these historical building intact and coherent in the background of modernisation.
