I stopped by around noon on my way back from Nagano during the New Year holidays
but gave up after waiting in a long line for a parking spot 🥺

I tried again this time! I aimed to arrive at 9am 🩵

I've always wanted to go to Shirakawa-go in winter.
The snowy scenery was beautiful, and the contrast between the Gassho-style houses and the snow was like something out of a picture book 📗🫧✨

This time, I couldn't go to the Gassho Tiramisu and the cafe at the observation deck, so I'll look forward to it next time 🥹🫶
