Snow-white Shirakawa-go

Shirakawa-go at the end of October 2024! Over 30 centimeters of snow, and it's still snowing!

Strong advice: If you're taking the bus from Kanazawa Station, make sure to book online a month in advance. Don't try to get on the bus the day of! If you're traveling alone, you might have a small chance, but if you have special plans, make sure you book. Last October, many people waiting in person were unable to get on the bus!

Shirakawa-go's shopping district restaurants and snack bars often have lines, too. If you're traveling with children or the elderly, it's recommended to bring some food with you. (And remember to take your trash with you. Be a good traveler!)
