Shirakawa-go Village

I visited Shirakawa-go when it is lit up only four times a year. In 2025, it will only be four times in January and February. It will probably be held several times at the same time next year.
Normally, it is only a daytime sightseeing, but this time of year, I was able to enjoy Shirakawa-go at night!
After traveling along the mountain path for about an hour by bus from Hida Takayama, a village with thatched roofs suddenly appeared!
Because it was the snowy season, a view I had never seen before spread out before me. It was a hidden place, and I was very impressed because I don't usually see such a view✨
I think you can go around the whole place in about three hours and enjoy a meal🥰
First of all, there were many Japanese people, but there were also many foreign tourists.
By the way, there are still residents living there.
It's a World Heritage Site that you should visit at least once!
